In Topic: Is WordPress better than a custom CMS?

When things don't swing your way you cry fowl and abuse the moderators
YOU said something plain wrong, YOU were then lambasted for it. Deal with it. No moderator is going to stick up for you, no matter how you try and turn this in to 'Every one's picking on me'.
My suggestion to you is if you don't like it, there are plenty of other web design forums online.
Fair enough.
I won't bother here any more. -

SO if we post it, you're not going to rip it to shreds?
And if we REFUSE to post it, you're not going to tear us to shreds.
The moderators of this board are useless... they talk about being on topic.
But they have allowed this thread to become a personal attack.
We're not going to give key information about our CMS away because it is private company information and if people want to know they can purchase CMS. IF not, move on.
Even if we do post it, it will go on and on and become even more of a personal attack on us.
I am happy to admit if I am wrong, and perhaps I was wrong to say 'ours is better' but if I don't believe in our product then who will? Further more, I am going to defend myself, my company and my product and probably reacted a little strongly.
I know Andry is right about core elements of the word press not being safe, and we had ours checked last year to fix similiar issues. Maybe there are now issues, maybe not.
BUT I can't see either way we can win because you lot have decided its pitch forks time, and you are going to hunt us out.
If we post our CMS you will tear it up
IF we don't you will.
So its a win lose situation for Andrey and me, I just know now not to have opinion on this forum. -

Two) Er - okay? Again, you're not actually providing substantial, core evidence that your CMS is more secure than Wordpress.
There is still nothing that adds up in this thread to that conclusion. If you feel it is, fine.
But until I see indisputable evidence, I do not believe that your CMS is more secure and no amount of speculation or vague statement will change my mind on that.
that's fair enough that's an adult dignified response thanks (no sarcasm) -

In the past i have been lambasted for my closing of threads and/or post removal due to it.
With that being the case it's pretty obvious to me that had i seen any personal attacks take place on this forum i would have warned, banned or deleted by now.
As it stands, i see no issue with this thread (despite deviating from it's intended purpose).
Smooth, none of us here work for WordPress (that i'm aware of) and it is just another tool to get the job done. However un substantiated claims MUST be challenged.
I've quoted what I feel offensive.
I hardly deem my opinion that word press isn't great as a CMS offensive.
But its OK to offend me because I think it's not the greatest thing in the world.
That seems a little unfair to me. -
