I dont think pop ups are that bad if used in the correct way, however I do agree that they should be as a last resort.

As a suggestion I would use some kind of toggler, where when people click on "view DJs" it shows the information below.

As for your question - I have no idea, but I would assume there would be something that could do that.

    Good Luck :)

Thanks for the replies brightonmike and jamesosix.

I'm not all that keen on using pop-ups, that's why I was looking for an alternative.

What about something like this as an alternative?

Is it safe enough to change the MAKE REQUEST buttons from a simple link to a DJ's contact page to a form that can be emailed to them? Would spam be a possible factor using this method?

Why not give each DJ their own page.

Set up a database which has dj name / song suggestions.

Then make a form which writes to the database these details, and then output them onto the dj's own page.

Just simple, maybe a truncate database button and thats it.

With some basic validation and maybe a timer on the form submission, i cant see anything getting really spammed.

Thanks, but not sure how to go about doing that. :unknw:

I am just curious, why can't you see a form working?

I meant that it mightn't be a good idea to have form entries going to DJs (individually) for risk of them being spammed. I ended up just liking to the radio station CONTACT US pages.

Is it OK to include forms with CAPTCHAs to go to each DJ?

Do you really need to transfer it across? Why not just use the hosting they already have, as it'll make things much easier. I can't say I've ever had the need to change it because I'm not used to it. All I need is the server, username and password for the FTP

Thanks for the reply, the client doesn't seem to know who the host is.

I think the previous guy (also ex-chairman) and his son are the only people to hold the server, user name, password and FTP details.
