    Yes so that there will be no dead links, that is a good idea.

    It shouldn't take too long for the search engines to drop the dead links and index the new pages.

    That's certainly the way I would go - but it's your decision.

    Thank you for answering back :-)
    Shall I consider this as the final and best bet ?
    Cheers,

    Your content won't change so your SEO shouldn't suffer

    Sorry, just saw your reply :-(
    But what about changing the extension + 301 Redirect + Rewriting the .php url to html for SEO?
    Should work, no ?

    Well well well...
    I am grateful for all these replies :angel: Thank you !!!

    After reading , I see that some of you say that my method could work, but some others say that it's old fashioned or might not work..or that it is some kind of Robinson trick.
    That makes a lot, but all these replies are very useful...I see that my idea is not very straight forward, and I don't like this.

    SO:
    I'll go to the best/most optimum/ newest way which seems to be :
    to change all my .html files to .php

    I am just afraid for my SEO / SERP
    Does the 301 Redirect not gonna hurt in this case?

    Try this within your HTACCESS

    <Files yourpage.html>
    AddType application/x-httpd-php .html
    </Files>

    Although these are just cover ups for symptoms that could easily be removed completely by just changing to PHP. Which will be more beneficial in the long run.

    Hi.
    First my apologies...I am not very comfortable with Php yet.
    1st/ As your code shows , it concerns 1 page ? As said earlier, I have 20 pages. There must be a misunderstanding.

    2nd/ Indeed, I was thinking about going only to Php extensions...but the SEO problem stopped me to do so.
    I am reading all answers with interest and try to make my way...
