I'm 29 30 from the Wirral, a small peninsula across the river Mersey from Liverpool and overall have been designing and coding sites for about five six years now.

Necessity was the reason I got into web design, I was running my own ecommerce website that was kindly created by my brother. I couldn't keep getting my brother to edit the site so I delved into basic editing which soon developed into a passion. From these early tabular designs I discovered the power of .css and was soon ready to design my own site.

It took a while for me to learn but from here there was no turning back, at last after 25 years for the first time in my life I knew what I wanted to do for a career. After finishing my own site I designed a few for family and paid back my brothers help by giving him a fresh new design (he's a programmer not a designer). Sometime after I managed to get some temporary work in a largish media company based in Chester. Working in a small team I took the workload from the main designer who was busy working on a major project. Working here I created a couple of micro sites and edited and maintained several existing sites.

Currently my ecommerce website isn't doing so well and the passion and motivation to continue has pretty much gone. My new found love for web design and experience running my own business led me to an inevitable conclusion; to start my own freelance design company. This is where I'm currently at*; trying to find a decent domain name and working on content and design for my site.

My strengths lie in clean .css led design using xhtml. I have a basic understanding of .php and am currently learning some MySql. I can't write any javascript but am experimenting with jQuery.
