Somebody actally compiled windows 95 to JavaScript so you can run it in your webbrowser. https://win95.ajf.me/ Don't try to start IE though.

^Not likely. Imagine what could happen if JavaScripts on webpages we visit could access our diskdrives and other hardware. but you can probably use something like dosbox to run your old games http://www.dosbox.com/

Read my new article about (re)mediation. http://nielsharbo.dk/?pageId=blog&post=mediation&lang=en . Probably most useful for students who need an overview of the concepts of communication and media.

Very interesting article! I see (at least in my country) that the advertising on web sites and games working much better then other concepts. Because people mostly network then want to relax or see the news. At this time they have the good mood and can see the advertising with positive feelings and buy after that. Nowadays every person prefer to search info in home via computer when sitting in comfortable atmosphere. For that reason i prefer webconference vs real conference.
The same situaition with game. When i see football i notice adds on the floor. For instance, i bought hearphones in MVideo after adds in game.

Another situation when somebody call me for promotion. In my country we always start afraid that caller can have bad goals (check if somebody in the flat now or try to know what car we have etc). The same with "cheap price". Every women know! Before company says "% SALE" she put very high and delete % from that hight price. So, i will buy product with high price instead of normal price. ))

Thank you for your comments @fleur. For webdesigners our role is often to create a channel/medium for the clients brand and communication. So it is of cause important to understand how the media can affect the messages and credibility of your clients.

I see CakePHP 3.0 is released. Has anyone here build anything with it yet? If so, what do you think?

I was under the impression that people had kind of turned away from CakePHP? I've not looked at version 3 though, have you?

I'd be very interested to know if version 3 is worth using to be honest.
