  1. Your thoughts on Wordpress Premium Themes?

    02 August 2011 - 06:52 AM

    Hi Folks,

Just trying to grab peoples thought on the current 'Premium' Wordpress Theme market, good or bad, and your experiences with them.

many thanks for your time and answers!
  2. Client asking for one page design - possibly others to follow

    05 July 2011 - 01:36 PM

    Hi all,

All of my projects in the past (in regards to just designing the site visuals) has consisted of quoting for and designing all pages required in succession.

The latest one is asking for just the homepage quoting for, and designing, pouring over this (tweaks etc..) then once happy move onto the rest of the pages..

Part of me is thinking, can I be fussed quoting for just the one page, allocating my time, and coming back to the others (possibly) at some point, and I have had a little trouble with them in the past regarding final payment!!! (But obviously dont want to mention this in the reply email).

Any ideas on how to word the best along the lines of 'Ill quote and lock into the whole project, or not at all" Or how to handle any of the above?

I normally just get on with it, but my brain does not seem to be working today!!! :)

    thanks
  3. Partnering up on a new Application, best routes to take?

    18 June 2011 - 08:39 PM

    Hi folks,

I am currently in the early stages of partnering up with another freelancer on an upcoming web application which we hope to retail at a discussed price.

Now I'm a little unsure on the best practices to take in relation to type of contract to draw up etc...? What kind of things I would be wise to cover in such a document, and would really appreciate some advice on the matter.

My contribution primarily is design of the site advertising the product, and design of the user interface of the actual product, as well as a small degree of admin duties. The actual development of the application will be handled by my partner, so we have (initially) decided on a 75%/25% cut on the product.

Your advice would be much appreciated.
