  1. Looking at their site just now, most of the mentions of "24/7 UK Based Support" have now been removed...
  2. Been using Brackets for about 18 months now, really like it!
  3. For us, hosting clients sites is worth £2k+ a month, so not a revenue stream that we would want to pass up really. We usually don't get any issues and most sites sit quite happily on the server(s) without any worry from us, but the last 4/5 weeks has seen so much downtime that staying isn't really an option. Ed, would you recommend any other companies? We are currently talking with both UKFast and Rackspace.
  4. Will check you guys out and maybe give the sales team a call today?
  5. I think the downturn is the fact that they are now owned by the parent company of Heart Internet.
  6. Thanks Teodora, and it does seem to mirror the same issues that other HEG companies (Heart Internet, 123-Reg etc) have been experiencing as of late. I'll be giving them a miss I think. Who do you guys (Midas) use for your hosting if you don't mind me asking?
  7. Thanks for the info, and it does seem that the issues started around the same time that they were acquired by HEG. I must admit, I haven't managed to speak to a single UK based support person in the last 3 days, which makes me extremely suspicious of their "24/7 UK based support" statement.
  8. And yet they brag about UK based telephone support? I only twigged when the 5 people to respond to my various tickets (and the two I spoke to on the phone) all had very odd sounding English names/accents.
  9. WOW, Just wow!! So I requested a cancellation of my services due to the terrible customer service and products being poorly managed, and got this response; "Hi Simon, If you'd like to cancel your service, please do so by logging into your My.Tsohost Client Area, then go to My Products & Services, Manage the service in question and just click Request a Cancellation. When done, let me know and I'll assign your ticket to our billing department who will update you on the refund. Regards, Hristo D." They didn't even attempt to rectify the issue, offer an explanation, not even an excuse! What is going on with UK hosting companies at the moment??
  10. So very very disappointed with these guys already. I was looking to migrate over 200 sites across from my Heart Internet and TSO Host came highly recommended, so started off by purchasing a reseller account to house all the smaller sites. The initial sales guy couldn't have been more helpful, but that's as good as it gets I'm afraid! I purchase a reseller account, along with my 'free' domain name, only for the checkout to fail as my card was declined. Well that's weird, I'd just moved the money across to cover this purchase. Turns out the invoice was incorrect and was charging me, not only for the domain name, but additional VAT on the already VAT included cost of the reseller account! This happened not once, but twice! I asked for this to be resolved, even to spoke to your 'UK based' support team (come on, they're not UK based now are they!) who was, quite frankly, very rude and couldn't be bothered with me! I end up with an £8.99 credit on the account, great, but the invoice is still for the incorrect amount, how do I pay the correct amount?? I raised a ticket, no response (again), so went and re-ordered (this time the invoice was correct...) the reseller package and asked for the original order to be cancelled (still waiting on this too). Took a few hours for the account details to be sent to me, only for the logins not to work or just kick me out each time I do manage to get in! Seriously guys, WTF?? With this level of service, I'm better off staying at Heart! So, further to the support team comment, where are the telephone support guys really based, here, or in Bulgaria?
  11. Pretty much consistent throughout the year, but July/August is normally a bit quieter. I actually find September through January to be the busiest period with people coming back off summer holidays and pushing to get projects out my Christmas. January, for me, is usually a catch up month for projects that didn't quite make the cut before Christmas and it's also the one month where I get inundated with new enquiries (new year, new me etc etc blah blah), although most don't go anywhere.
  12. I sent a ticket earlier asking to change username, but just checked emails and I have a 'failed to deliver' message, so presumably your ticket system is fudged? Thanks
