In Topic: From web designer to app developer?

So i know HTML, CSS, PHP, some JS and jQuery. I recently downloaded the Android SDK and Eclipse to begin Java development. I greatly appreciated knowing PHP prior to starting this as it gave me a massive boost in understanding Java that bit better than someone brand new to programming. If your really interested but dont know were to start simply go to youtube and enter "thenewboston android development 1" that guy does a series of 200 tutorials also for iOS if you prefer it. Hopefully that will atleast give you a starting point, but its good if you already know IF's, Else's and switch/case before starting and understand the concept of OOP. -

I think an idea could be to first access posted jobs you must have a certain number of posts, but to post a job i think that shouldn't be restricted at all. But to counter the spamming etc and automated messages, have a strike system. Where admins can add strikes to the account and other 'trusted' members can report potential auto responders?
Failing that, Make me a mod for the forum and ill gladly sort it out everyday! -
In Topic: Do you work from home or in an office?

I've only recently started to get some nice work as a full time student and freelance developer. Trying my hardest to get contracts with local web development firms. I work from my bedroom but as most of you say you get into gear early in the morning. I find that I'm most productive when my mum goes to bed about 10pm right through until 3AM. I work during the day as well but its one of them moods were i flick through youtube for abit, forrst, WDF etc etc. So i never really get much productivity. I also notice that Trance music for me makes me work away, but from time to time ill listen to some Rock to get me working fast.
ATM I am not looking for an office and I don't think I will until i graduate and at that point i may just wanna work for an agency to leave the hassle of finding customers and the whole idea of steady weekly income. I know the likes of PandaDoodle etc on this forum have very comfortable salaries on their own but I would prefer to work somewhere were I 100% will get a cheque at the end of the month and also, most freelancers on here seem to think company work first off is good for contacts etc.
