HTML Format for Emails
22 November 2011 - 07:13 AM
Hi all
I need to pick some brains:
I have started creating emails for one of my clients who is a graphic designer and between us we are getting there. I basically created 2 versions: 1 in .mht format (as requested) and one in .html format (as a fallback). However one of their marketing staff quoted that "there is a difference between .html format for email and .html format for a web page." Has anyone else heard of this, because it certainly is a new one on me!
Obviously, I am fully aware of how careful you have to be with layout and setup for an email based in HTML. But I just thought .html was .html whatever its used as.
Please could anyone shed any light?
Thanks in advance,
