phpmailer
26 November 2011 - 06:04 PM
Hi
I'm using phpmailer to create a contact form, its sending fine my problem is that it is ignoring the replyto part so when I press reply instead of being the person who sent the emails address its the address for setfrom instead, is there anyway to fix this?
Here is the code that is more than likely causing the issue.
$msg= 'Name: '.$_POST['name'].'<br /> Email: '.$_POST['email'].'<br /> IP: '.$_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'].'<br /><br /> Message:<br /><br /> '.nl2br($_POST['message']).' '; $mail = new PHPMailer(); $mail->IsSMTP(); // telling the class to use SMTP $mail->Host = "localhost"; // SMTP server $mail->SetFrom('mail@domain.com', 'My Name'); $mail->AddReplyTo($_POST['email'], $_POST['name']); $mail->AddAddress($emailAddress); $mail->Subject = $_POST['subject']; $mail->MsgHTML($msg); $mail->Send();
If it helps I'm using Fancy Form AJAX contact form which I have adapted a little (but all adaptation are included above)

Wordpress child categories
18 November 2011 - 10:04 AM
I'm having a dizzy moment today. Basically I'm creating a wordpress site and it has 2 main categories and each have a lot of child categories:
News:
sub 1
sub 2
sub 3
Tips
sub 1
sub 2
sub 3
Now when in the News category, a child category of news or a single page of news, I need it to show a list of all the child categories for the news section and then same for when on anything related to tips it shows a list of all the tips categories.
I've tried various things and it either results in it only showing the list on the main cat page and not the child or single page or on the main and child cat page and not the single page
I don't mind if I need to do a conditional statement and hardcore the main categories in just so long as the child cats are dynamic and always displayed on the required pages
Thanks

redirects on windows server
31 October 2011 - 07:59 AM
Hi
I've been developing a new site for a client, the sitemap is totally changed so it needs some form of redirection for the old pages. Now the site is hosted on a windows server and after a bit of research the only thing I can find for redirecting is for the whole site, is there a way to create a file that will let me do it so certain pages will redirect to other pages.
Thanks,
Diz

issue with site on blackberry
17 October 2011 - 12:17 PM
Hi
I have a client who uses a blackberry and when she views her site there are a couple of things wrong with the layout. Now as no one in my office owns a blackberry so seeing if the changes done to the code fix the issues is quite hard as the only way to check is to email them and for them to check and email back and when it doesn't work try something else.
So this is a longshot but I was wondering if there was any sort of tool like browsershot where I can get a grab of how the site is displaying so I don't have to keep asking the client to check it while I'm trying to fix it.

06 Aug 2009 - 19:25I'm not working with web-design any more. Hence my absence. But it's still a passion of min, so it's stuck as a hobby. Got a boost of inspiration to a new website project I've been planning for a while now. Sure miss doing this kind of work.
