Hi guys, I just created a simple site design, primarily because I need to learn how to code a template of course. I'm a little annoyed because I've just watched lots of tutorials on XHTML & CSS and read a few books but not one mentions how to code a template manually! They explain the basics of layouts but come on....that isn't going to get you very far. They just explain how to code links, class's, id's etc..but when it comes down to doing it from scratch its hard.

I'm really struggling to find any info on how to code a template from scratch...any ideas would be great!

Hi guys, I've been learning XHTML/CSS for the past week as i can't seem to find any decent tutorials that teach HTML5/CSS3 for beginners. The only thing they seem to teach you are the new things that are in HTML5/CSS3 rather than teaching you from scratch. I guess the only way i can learn it properly is by continuing to learn XHTML/CSS and when comfortable with that, move onto HTML5/CSS3. It's a shame really as it seems like a waste. any ideas?

What size canvas should you use when creating a website in photoshop? is there a set size for most site designs?
