PERL + XAMPP

Hi is there a good source for learning how to run perl using xampp as in book tutorial or even online (Preferably a book)?. I once learned the language in an OU i completed a few years ago & since i've become comfortable using xampp for php work i would just like to maybe use Perl in some respect.

Using WordPress for clients design work

Can you use wordpress to design multiple pages, i've only learned how to edit etc wordpress thats been installed on my sysytem.Maybe i will learn how to but lets say somebody wants me to do them a design and i decide to use wp.How does that work please?

If you have sites created in WordPress that are connected to your database, How would they work if you transferred them to someone else's server? How would they go about this.. The process of that site being able to connect to their servers etc etc...

Kind of a jaded question i know.. but im learning about some plug-in called BackupBuddy that eases the pain of transferring a Web site from 1 hosting environment to another.But its not free.. i may purchase it @ sometime, im just curious to know the feelings/answer to my question.

Why would you want duplicate a css style?

I mean for an instance as maybe duplicate 2 different style sheets linked to the same web page?
