About Me
Bannister Web Design is the brainchild of Oliver Bannister, a passionate website designer and marketer. Based in Tameside, Oliver has a degree in Forensic Science and works as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. Oliver also holds various web design qualifications which combines his scientific mind with his passion for creative marketing to produce exceptional websites for businesses throughout Tameside, Greater Manchester and the UK.
Oliver's passion is helping small-to-medium and start-up businesses achieve an effective and stylish online presence that keeps them ahead of the competitors. So how does he achieve this?
"Through constant communication. From the initial meeting, I make sure I remain in close contact with my clients to really understand their business. I work with the client to produce a thorough brief outlining their expectation. This results in a website designed and built to their specification. It's all about the client, really – who can have as much or as little input as they like".
When Oliver's not in the web design bubble, he can usually be found spending quality time with his wife, young son and dog.
Key Skills
Web scripting languages: XHTML, CSS, jQuery, Magento, Wordpress
Prototyping and design tools: Adobe CS including Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator and some Flash.
CMS: Wordpress and Joomla!
Web and interface design: W3C, XHTML 1.0. Good understanding of Search Engine Optimisation: XML Site Mapping, meta tagging, indexing, Google Analytics, researching key words and competitor SEO.
