Step in Google Browser Sync. It's brilliant, it just works - sign in with my Google account and it gives you the option to sync your cookies, history, passwords and bookmarks across machines. I only use cookies and bookmarks however.

When you do the initial synchronization of your bookmarks, there are different options for how you want them to be synched - whether you want them to all be merged, or if one of them should be the "master" list.

I don't keep cookie or history with google, just my bookmarks.
To be honest, I don't buy the supeona or justice stuff - any law agency wanted your computer info, it's easier for them to kick your door in and take your PC that to fight with google.
Same with hackers, I believe my information is safer with Google and on my home pc as I think it's easier to hack.
Just my 2p.

yes and no. Firstly the supeona. It's much easier to get one against google than it is to get a warrent to access your computer. The EEF said this about google desktop:

As for the hacker thing well yes and no. my computer is only connected to the internet when I am on it and my firewall lets very few things send data in and out. Google's server is always on and is configured to let people read it's data. Then you also have things like obsurity. You're a random ip address with 1 person's data. Google is a known ip with 1,000's making it a much more tempting target.

True, it's a more tempting target but google has teams of people working daily to ensure that doesn't happen... I'm got um, me, and I don't know much
