Hello to all,

I'm New to this forum so hello everyone.

I want to make a multi background and colour scheme, i know i have to use CSS for this and i got to use either links or a drop down list preferable drop down and i know it has to be an external CSS file.

I have dealt with CSS before but only briefly and i have forgotten it all now so be nice for some help.

i know how to make an external style sheet but its just linking them to a button and how you lay out css and what code you use i have forgotten.

What im looking to change with each theme is the background colour/image, text colour and link colours?

If someone can do me and example CSS file id be grateful and a html or php file with it linked to the css file so i know how its linked and preferably with the conditions stated above? background etc

This would be very appreciated!

Thanks from Irn3rd

Hi, welcome to the forum! :hi:
The best thing you can do is check out htmldog and w3schools.
They will soon have you up to speed. :)

I had a thought while looking through all this is there a way to do it with php?

I added includes to my site for the footer, header, navigation bar, page splitters and a go back link, meta tags and the style of the pages,

But say i was to make another set of php files with the relevant coding in them so i had two styles would i be able to use a drop down list to make the page change style and then use cookies to make it remember the users preference for when they visit again and make the cookie update everytime and have a time limit on the cookie?

Sorry if i seem to be chatting out my A**,

Thanks for the help

Ben
