Just a bit of fun that'll be a useful 'reverse engineering' exercise for you.

Whoever can write the best headline for the following image wins the opportunity to PM me some troublesome copy they want worked on in the up-coming Copy Clinic thread I'll be running.

The rules are simple - the best headline wins!

Feel free to use your imagination - be as esoteric and tangential as you like. You might want to sum up the image, or some emotion/thought that is conjures up, you might picture it in a certain site/business or in a magazine article... whatever!.
You can of course be literal and just sum up the image.
Explaining how you came-up with the headline will help me judge and others learn too.

The point is... getting you to translate images into words will help your writing and, through 'reverse engineering', help you translate words into images.

I hope you go for it!

I knew this would descend into farce - I love it! :D

Evil :pp, but this would mean the winner would be determent by a poll or something. Your judgement can no longer be trusted on this matter :)

I tell you what.... if there are enough entries then I'll make a short list and put it to a poll (I'll even exclude myself!).
And, you can post as many entries as you like.

Putting a serious hat on for a moment... I would advise you to have a 'real' go at this (of course you can still use humour) and explain your entry because it is more useful than you think to be able to 'reverse engineer' the link between design and copy.

I have to create brand new content that then gets passed on to designers to create a site from, but I also have to write copy that fits an existing design - they both require different approaches. It also helps if the designer understands how the copy might just jolly well influence the design!!! ;)

You can of course still post up your hilarious entries - they're all good!

:D
