quick question, I need to create a list of high profile sites that use flash.

google isn't being much help in this respect and my mind has drawn blank.

So far I have YouTube & BBC's iplayer

Can anyone else think of any? (preferably sites that use flash for something other than video?)

thanks for the fast response Curvball,

those sites are pretty cool,

but I need a more 'high profile' list of sites as in more common/prominent and regularly used sites. e.g. Iplayer, YouTube, MySpace etc.

Cheers

Scazz, there aren't many high profile sites using flash is for one reason and one reason only, accessability!

Very very very few people have flash in comparison to the overall internet using society. This is why big companies typically only use it for mini sites, the other type of companies that use flash are those who's demographic market is highly likely to have flash due to their average disposable income, and as such the computer that they have.

For example
http://www.ferrari.com
and
http://www.lamborghini.com/

You have to be very rich to buy one of those two car brands, so if you can afford one, you'll likely have a new computer which supports flash

Thanks for the help people,

I've collated a small list:

YouTube
BBC Iplayer
MySpace
Sony
sony Erricson
Google (vids)

Yeh i understand why companies wouldn't use it for their entire sites, but there are a lot that use it for parts of their site such as product demonstrations or as Eggman said mini sites.

Not sure I entirely agree with your statement about companies with a demographic of people with high disposable income though!

These days it's got to be nigh on impossible to find a computer that won't run flash (even mobile phone do!) but I get where your coming from.

Cheers for your help

Got no problems with sites that have flash elements, as you mentioned, myspace, youtube, etc. As the site will still function without these elements.

How many million iPhones have sold so far? None of those users can get on a full flash site.
