The walkman rip-off logo, the themeforest template, and you're a "professional web designer"?

Urgh.

I'm bespoke.

I don't have a problem with somebody working with themeforest templates, if it's what is appropriate for the project providing they're honest about it.

You simply cannot write on your website that you are a professional, yet your own site is a template you neither designed nor coded, and you haven't mentioned this on the site, and get away with it.

And your logo is a blatant rip-off of the walkman logo which is unforgivable IMO.

Most of my customers only have couple hundred quid for a site and as for the logo that was a free download from graphicriver as I'm so busy doing budget sites looking after my two girls spending time doing a bespoke site for my self I just don't have the time I appriciate your comments but this has gone right of topic

I would think extremely hard if I was you before you try to pick a fight with me.

You've been caught out using logo which is a well known, copyrighted logo of a massively famous brand. Your excuse is pathetic and you should have known better.

You've also been caught out trying to pass off a template you did not design and did not code as your own.

I don't hate this industry, that's categorically false. I LOVE this industry. I am passionate for web design. Most people on this forum I am sure will testify that I truly love what I do and I care VERY much about it.

Now, onto my website.

For a start, I think the fact I designed and coded it myself and didn't just nick a template and try to pass it off as my own stands me head and shoulders above you.

Secondly, bringing up validation against be goes to show what little you know. All good developers know for a fact that validation is not the be all and end all.

Thirdly, my personal website I built well over a year ago and I haven't touched it since. I don't use it to generate business and frankly, I don't care about it. I don't even need it. And unlike you, I'm not trying to use it to scam people into believing I am a better designer/developer than I am.

Fourthly, doing my work my way has got me a full time job with a 20% pay rise every year. Where has your template-nicking shenanigans got you? Clearly nowhere. 'Nuff said.

/endthread.

Pretty sure he meant on a legal lever rather than a face to face fisty cuffs.

Anyway, as the original question has been answered i'm going to close this thread. I'm sure if you both want to carry on then you can both use emails.
