Dont you hate it when you get an email from a client (or a phone call) and something on the website isn't working properly, or looks different. You have a look on your side and everything is ok (because we always update our browsers)

Then you try and get some info from them about what browser they use and they say "Yahoo" because that's their home page :p

Well I stumbled across this today and thought I would share it because it helped me.

Now you only need to send them this link and they only need to fill in the form with your email address.

And you will get the info that you need :p

Interesting. Windows reports my colour depth as 32bit, site gives 24.

Just double checked mine (you never know) and it's accurate.

All that site needs is to automatically update the browser once you send a client to it and it'll save us hours of call-time!

Ye the first thing I did was test it on all my browsers and even sent it to a friend that has an old win98 machine with old out of date browsers... works every time :D

Good call.
All it needs to do is alert the user that their browser is out of date and this may be the issue. Then a quick link to an update page on the manufacturers site (or link to replacement browser ;) )

Just take solace in the fact that a lot of users will be force-upgraded by MS in the near future to 8 on XP and 9 on everything else.
