What scripting is this? ...and does it effect Search Engines

Hiya

I like this menu type alot http://www.tutorials...ing_Navigation/

What kind of scripting does it use, and will search engine bots be able to spider the menu urls with no problems, if it does conflict with search engine bots, whats the closest scripting to this which won't stop bots from crawling? Is there any other alternatives to this menu, with the same effect of, expanding vertical ?
