Copywriting is something I'm interested in getting into. I'm just wondering if any of the pro's have any tips and tricks to get me started. I'm quite good at coming up with the standard marketing spiel that's need but like I say, if anyone has any tips or anything that I should avoid I'd love to hear what you guys have to say!

Thanks!

Welcome to the dark side! :flm26:

Becoming a copywriter is a nice compliment to regular web design and gives you an extra angle when you're angling for new customers. I started copywriting properly (for actual clients) about 18 months ago, and now it makes up about 60% of my work.

Best place to start is the copywriting board on this very forum. In particular read the copy corner series by the ever-elusive Wizely, dark master of the hidden arts.

Have fun - any questions, give me a shout :)

Well, you have to be creative and write compelling content to persuade your readers. And don't forget to integrate SEO in your copywriting

Copy writing is alright, but it can get boring too if your having to write articles which have no interest to you whats so ever, I focus on doing a little bit here and there, but then again I'm not great at it. I think being able to draw in audiences, is an art or talent itself, just like writing a book is.
