Hi,
I have setup a eCommerce site using WordPress and it's been live for just over a week now. When searching for the website's name in Google, Results , a couple of products appear in the results.
My client asked, and I would like to know too!, Why? Why those specific products? Why do only them appear. I don't think that they have more keywords than any other product on the website.
Slightly off topic: Is there a tool where my client can tell who has linked to his website?
Thanks
Huw

Both products have all of the keywords in their URL (although I notice they don't have unique meta titles and the meta description could be better).

Some products could be better links both internally and externally.

Just to say I have had similar experiences in the past - the things that shot up in Google were not what I would have expected. I cannot explain why but I do know everything seems to catch up in the days after that and become more as you expect them.

ps, if it's a Wordpress type site does it not tell you automatically who is linking back to you (unless I'm mistaken)
