I found an infographic on the web and I am amazed really with the average salary for web developers and designers in UK. Web developers are paid so low compared to other EU countries. Why is that?

Trouble with these sorts of things is where do they get that info and what criteria did they apply?
Do these figures come from larger businesses or did they ask smaller businesses and the many one man bands?
Many larger businesses working on heavy duty sites for blue chip companies may have top end staff earning six figure salaries. However a one man band, possibly semi-pro, doing brochure sites for local tradesman and shops might be earning only four figures.
Ah, just noticed there is an image at the bottom with text too small to read that lists the sites that they got the data from.

It's a pointless infographic. You need to take into account the cost of living, quality of life, etc etc to really make a sensible comparison.
Sure, you may earn double in one Country over another, but if the cost of living is double too and the quality of life is significantly worse, then you are in fact worse off.

I notice that in Web Developer Australia comes out at the top. On another forum I use I was discussing with an Australian developer what amount of work they get. It is quite high and web developers are in high demand.
Due to the logistics of the country it often requires a plane flight to do the shopping. As many wouldn't want to waste the money just to do some window shopping every business has a website so that people can browse even from the outback. That way they can pick what they want, order it and then fly in to get it or have it flown in to them.

One oddity I notice on that chart is with Web Development in Italy.
A Web Developer earns $52,218.26 whilst a Senior Web Developer only earns $30,758.10. I bet nobody wants a promotion in Italy.
I assume it is Senior anyway.

Avarage salary goes around 15-1700 euro per month.
This is in The Netherlands.
However you must know php/mysql handcoded as well as javascript/css/html and xml.
Ussual the salary from what they show on the vacany are the Start Salary and can even go up if you got the higher experience.

That's not very much, considering (and correct me if I'm wrong) that the price of living in the Netherladns is comparable to here?
I'm sure I saw a random Web Dev job in Amsterdam on a job site for around the 50 grand Euro mark - I guess it must have been a senior job, and judging from what you say was in no way representative of the usual type of salary. Or are the salaries higher in Amsterdam?
