Well looking around this week for some few books about certain languages I stumped on a php 6 book.
Strangely a reply to that book said that the mysql functions were taken out.
So I have googled about it and found out that php 6 was scrapped?
Has anyone got more detail about it?

It's not scrapped. Everything that was in development for PHP6 apart from the conversion to UTF-16 will be in trunk for PHP5.4, and they're starting agan on the UTF-16.
