Contact Form on Homepage

Your probably going to say "your site so upto you"..

For any industry really, graphic design, sales / marketing company.

Im talking at the bottom of the home page, not smack bang top or middle.

I see the advantage as being if the customer likes what he sees, he will leave details without thinking (or subconsciously thinking about it). On the other hand, this may make the customer neglect other important pages in the site...

I look forward to your thoughts on this..

Like you said, if you put it at the bottom it wouldn't look out of place I don't think. I've seen several designs with a small contact form in the footer and always thought it looks good.

Putting a contact form in the footer is asking people not to use it in my opinion. Getting people to contact you from your website is such an important part of making a portfolio site that you need to think carefully about why anyone should contact you about your work.

Putting a contact form on the home page completely depends on what content your homepage contains. Does your home page give customers everything they need to make a purchasing decision? If not, then the answer is don't put the contact form there.

Try to see your website as a journey for your prospects. Feed them little bits of information that prove your abilities as a great web designer. If you do it well it won't matter whether your site is one page or ten. But make sure all roads lead to your contact form, even if they all take different routes.
