Great article and one that I can relate to.

I am very fussy about the work I undertake, having been bitten badly by some of the commercial giants and their agencies.

Working directly for small to medium businesses gives great satisfaction and enables direct interaction with the end client rather than the, sometimes long and drawn out, process of working through agencies. Agencies never seem to be able to get definitive answers to questions within an acceptable timeframe and payment is a long winded process at times also.

Charge what you consider you are worth, never negotiate and be sure to deliver a first rate product with excellent support to the client.

:)
