Hi Everyone

My client wants the banner on there site to print when they print the web page:

http://www.aandjelectronics.co.uk/

They said that when they print out pages from this website, it prints the banner http://www.oldbarnaudio.co.uk/

Thay said they want it for there branding.

Is there a way to do this???

THANKS SO MUCH in advance, I have been racking my brains!!! :wacko:

I might need some clarification on this one.

Have you setup a print stylesheet?

It's worth pointing out that a print stylesheet should be created to avoid people having to print large graphics out. At the most a small logo should be present otherwise I have to fork out the cost of ink printing your branding.

no, never heard of a print stylesheet :blush1: :blush1: :blush1:

But that's great, I just googled it, and looks pretty straight forward ;)

In the stylesheet these tags are set to print only, they do not display on the page:

/* =Print Style

-------------------------------------------------------------- */

#site-title,

	#site-description {

		float: none;

		line-height: 1.4em;

		margin: 0;

		padding: 0;

	}

	#site-title {

		font-size: 13pt;

	}

and the code on the page:

<h1 id="site-title">
	<span>
	<a href="http://www.aandjelectronics.co.uk/" title="A and J Electronics.co.uk" rel="home">A and J Electronics.co.uk</a>

	</span>
	</h1>
	<div id="site-description">Electrical/Electronic repairs, parts, servicing &amp; fitting East Sussex</div>

When you print the page the contents of these tags prints NOT the banner graphic.

Hope this helps

Colin

Note that there are programs and browser add-ons available that will override the print CSS and not print any large images. These are quite popular now due to the high cost of ink. I read some time ago that printer ink worked out at about £5000 a gallon.
