I'm stepping into some new territory with this one. A few of the things on this site I've never done before, I tend to get stuck in the standard 'header, slideshow, content, sidebar' type of thing. But it would be good to hear your thoughts on it so far. I was aiming for a retro 50's feel. The illustration isn't mine by the way.

I like it.
Nice simple, clean design and interesting colour scheme. The header is quite striking, great illustration though the tag-line below (and the other headings) look a bit bland in my opinion. Could do with a more exciting font that stands out a bit more from the body text.
Who did the illustrations? I'd like to see a bit more of their work if possible.

Thanks Spitfire. I know what you mean about the main headings. I have been looking at some retro comic book type fonts instead. I've been playing with the portfolio section a bit too, gone for a vintage photo effect which I think fits in quite well.
I have modified the illustration a bit, but the original was from a member on istock - http://www.istockpho...32854/#188ad2a4

I like it a lot, very funky. Personally I'd make the headline bigger 'the real life heroes..' and slow the scroll down a little. On Chrome when I click 'Send' it jumps to the top of the page then back down again to show my validation errors. All this jumping about makes me feel sea sick ;-)
Great design though.

Cheers Robby.
The same happens to me on Firefox. The script I used for the scroll allows you to add a class to a link to prevent it from firing so it reverts to normal behaviour, when clicking the submit button for example. However I haven't managed to get it to work yet. Another option would be to do some ajax validation so that the page doesnt have to reload.
