Hiya :)

I'm 33, living in Medway, Kent and interested in web design. So far I've only done a small wordpress site for an online gaming group, using a template generator. I had lots of fun with it though, and I decided to find out more about actual coding.
I know some HTML basics and am currently doing a course on CSS fundamentals via lynda.com. I'm also looking into OU courses, so any tips on those are much appreciated!

What a small world. I was born in Medway grew up there (no longer living there). I was looking at OU courses, but from what I've read they don't seem very good. I'm relearning CSS and will be looking at HTML5. Google search has bought up loads of tips/tutorials its just a case of deciding where to start.

Small world, indeed! I've lived here for 3 years now and I'm quite enjoying it, though I do miss Sarf London...

Was afraid the OU stuff isn't all that... The few I was interested in, aren't on the list for next year, so that left me thinking there's something wrong with them. :p This one looks interesting, but whether I'll do it, totally depends on the cost.
And I've had trouble finding a starting point for HTML as well. I've been hopping from tutorial to tutorial, but there's usually some knowledge required that I just don't have. Especially HTML5 courses look only at the differences from previous versions. : /

Think I'll start Codecademy on the side and see how that goes. :)
