hello everyone, and thank you for reading.

my name is jim, i have no experience in web design and i do not work in computing.

i am here because i have an idea for a new take on a particular type of social networking site. i have planned the site in meticulous detail, and written a lengthy and comprehensive document describing its function. i know the layout of every page, the function of every link, and the rules that govern every possible eventuality a user may encounter. i have money behind me and i am very serious about building and launching this site.

unfortunately, this is not my area. i was hoping to get some independent advice from your kind selves before i start approaching web design companies. while i know that any of the top design outfits could handle the building of the site, i am largely ignorant about the launching and marketing side of the equation.

What kind of advice do you need? Try to break it down into key areas:

Design
UI/UX
Development
Hosting
Media (video/imagery etc)
Platforms/Devices (computer, tablet, phone etc)
Marketing (ads, social networking, seo)
