Web Developer – C#

Staines, Surrey, UK

Games Press Ltd, a leading developer of press sites for the global video game industry, is looking to recruit a web developer proficient in C#. This is a permanent position.

The successful candidate will use and expand on existing code libraries to redevelop and modernise gamespress.com, the world’s foremost resource for the video games industry. This position would suit a graduate or ambitious developer who wishes to be at the centre of a company’s Web development at a hugely exciting time.

Our press site solutions are already used by leading video games companies such as Microsoft, Electronic Arts and Capcom, and we are soon to launch a new press site product. You will be at the forefront of this development push, using this system as the basis for the new gamespress.com. You will work alongside the Technical Director.

You are:
• A proficient C# developer
• Interested or experienced in ASP.Net, MVC and jQuery
• Familiar with or open to best practices: IoC, unit testing, dependency injection
• Interested in the videogames industry
• Motivated to work as a vital part of a small team

Experience of Azure, SQL Server 2008, Windows Server admin and EF 4.1 Code First is a benefit but not essential.

This position is based in the Staines/Ashford area of Surrey. Salary is competitive, and we have a generous holiday entitlement. You will be a key part of a small but very ambitious company in its 12th year.

To apply, please send your CV and covering letter, detailing your current salary or expectations to steve.owen@gamespress.com. The deadline for your application is Friday, 2 March.
