Mouse recommendation

Mine's just been getting less and less responsive and I occasionally have to smash it on the desk to get it to behave.
So any recommendations on a decent replacement?

Just checked but can't seem to find it now, looks like it's been replaced with something that looks tacky

All my friends swear by logitech mice. They have slightly older versions of these:

The shape is great, and super comfortable if you have larger hands.
I haven't used any of the niche gaming mice so I can't give you a recommendation there, but my friends and I have yet to have issues with logitech.

My old one died and was out of warranty, one live chat to logitech support and they replaced it. I just had to show proof of purchase, and they sent me a new one. First class support imo.

Pop into PC World or somewhere (not a pet shop) and have a feel of some.

If you're willing to spend a few extra beer vouchers:

If not then any of the older models from their MX range are good.

Update: Spitfire edged in just infront of me then

I won't be using this mouse for gaming just for web work.
Those mice do indeed look briliant but at £65 they're having a laugh haha

I would never pay that for a mouse. They're all probably made in the same factory in China anyway, nextdoor to the Argos supplier.

If you're interested I'll dig it out tonight and post up the details/photos (and also check it still works). I don't mind sending it to wherever you're inhabiting at the moment for the price of the postage. I think it was £35 when I bought it. Might save you a few beer tokens, in Spitfire's words.
Edit: It is wired, but very thin/flexible. Also the weights in the mouse counter the wire almost entirely from what I remember.

Yeah that sounds a bit pricey. I'd never spend $100 on a mouse... usually spend 30-40. You can probably snag a logitech on sale, but you'd have to ask your UK cohorts for good recommendations for sales.
Either way, the mouse is the lifeblood of design work, so getting something of high quality and precision is important.

naaah kidding, well depends on what you do most of the time on your computer, if you game a lot get one of them razors or whatever they're called, if you use your computer for business and surfing the web any 40-10€ mouse will do the trick, I had mine for quite a few years now and I don't care if it doesen't look tacky and does not include +5 buttons and all that crap.

I bought a Razer Salmosa three years ago. It looks nice and the ergonomics are great, but every now and then it won't register movement and I have to unplug and replug it in...
