Hi guys,
I'm just getting into Wordpress theme development and I work on 2 computers (Home and Office). I'm having a bit of a headache trying to set up WAMP with Dropbox. Specifically I followed these instructions but keep getting a Forbidden error when I try and access localhost through my browser and I don't know why?
That specific issue aside, I'm interested to see how you guys choose to work on multiple wordpress projects on multiple machines simultaneously and what I can do to help my workflow? It's not practical to limit myself to working a single project from a single location.
I'd really appreciate any help.
Cheers,
James

Add a sub domain to your hosting, and have a WordPress install but limit access to logged in users.
If anybody accidentally stumbles on the site, they won't see anything.
You could mess about with dropbox and WAMP and all that nonsense, but in my view using your existing hosting for development is perfectly suitable for most occasions. You just have to hide it from the public.

thanks guys. I've been Googling this for the last hour or so to no avail. I've uninstalled and reinstalled wamp and keep getting 403 Forbidden errors whenever I try and access localhost or localhost/phpmyadmin
I have no idea what I've done to cause this as it worked fine when I installed it 1st time round. Everything started to go Pete Tong after I tried to point apache at the dropbox folder, but now I can't even use the default c:/wamp/www folder
