Really like the software, but dont want to pay.

i dont really have an hourly rate... i run on a project basis.

You must have a vague idea, for pricing purposes. Work it out, convert to $ - for the sake of argument, let's say it equates to $50 per hour.

If SEOMoz saves you 2hours of work per month, it's not actually costing you anything. Any more than that, or costs you can pass on to clients, and it's making you money.
