I've been going round in circles with this all day :(

A client has asked me to quote them for adding event booking to their website, which uses Perch as a CMS.

They don't want to use a solution with an ongoing fee like eventbrite etc. They would prefer to use Barclaycard eDPQ to collect payments.

Anyone have any experience of integrating eDPQ?

Any advice regarding where to start with implementing event booking would be much appreciated. I have a severe case of brain fog!

eDPQ is very a difficult module to be integrated. Recommend Paypal or SagePay. HSBC is also good.

"Event" booking can be fairly easy to do, or very hard.

If you just want a simple facility for buying tickets then any half decent shopping cart should do the job for you, with your choice of payment processor. Essentially an "event" is just a product where you can buy a number of, and the customer receives ticket(s) via post, or maybe via email.

On the other hand if you need advanced features like events spanning multiple dates, booking certain seats etc, then you really need to be looking into a custom built solution.

Thanks for your replies - it looks like it will be a simple integration now with Eventbee as this appears to be perfect for what they need. PayPal will most likely be the payment processor.

Bluedreamer your explanation helps to put it into perspective :)

Thanks again,

Andrea
