Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a new webdesign for my website. I'm still working on a photoshop version of this future webdesign but I don't know what to do to improve it... so I'd like to get some feedback about it.

Here can you find a pic of the project : http://www.totems-sc...p/template4.png (you can also find the file attached with this post).

Could you say me what you think about this project ? (don't hesitate to say what you really think, I'm ready to hear everything :rolleyes: )

Thanks a lot

Seb

(sorry for my english, I'm a belgian french speaking)

Well i won't go too much into details, most of the design leaves good impression, there's actualy one big thing i'd like to see changed, dissproportion in content zone, read upon grid system in web design, hope that helps

ps. here are some example resoureces: http://designfestiva...-in-web-design/ , http://960.gs/

Thanks a lot for these feedbacks.

@Malyo :
I used a grid already but I'm not very comfortable with that.

I read your links and made a try to improve my layout. Here is attached the new version. I tried to use a 12 cols grid : 620px for the left content (8 cols) and 300px for the sidebar (4 cols).

Hello

What i meant is a disproportion of your content columns, they should be same size or same size multiplied (for example 960/4 would make 1x 240px block (obviously count whitespace margin/paddings to that), 1x 480px block and 1x 240px block).If you want to make it more vary, just use bigger division, and then multiply to achieve proportions. It's one of those things that make you feel something wrong is with design, but you can't tell what.

And one more thing, i probably repeat that a lot to people, but using icons improves the readability of website a ton.

Hope that helped
