Currently trying to finish off the design/static prototype of a Juice site by Friday ... it would be helpful to have any critiques (work in progress-as you can see all the images/info are virtually the same). Also still working on IE fall backs/fixes for css3 effects once I finish layout)-sorry IE users. So far I'm worried about:

-is the green (which I've taken from the leaf in their logo) a blinding 'poo-green'? At first it felt like lime..but now that I keep staring at it.... O_o"

-I HATE the splash page -still unfinished-(requested by client-who wants the 2 bg images fading in & out with that (the other of a family picnic with their products-but I feel like it's a waste of time/space?)

(also is it weird that it takes you to the about page 1st when you click into it since they dont have a 'home page'? It might work better going to the products page perhaps?)

-is the shopping cart/checkout link prominent enough?

-does it feel 'juicy' enough? lol.. I realize it's a little boring at the mo.
But am thinking of incorporating more imagery but everything I have to work with off their original site is a little difficult to work with..( www.njoydrinks.co.nz/ ), but they're willing to purchase more stock imagery.

Thanks in advance! :)

I like it, its nicely done but i have a few critisms. Firsty i would try to talk the client out of the splash screen, they were annoying in the 90s- early 2000's and they are annoying now. Second point, the logo doest really work, i can't put my finger on it, but it just doesnt sit right.

If you are gonna have a splash screen I'd recommend adding some sort of text along the lines of "Click here to enter".
Because for now just looks like a background image with no instructions, don't forget that 99% of the internet users don't actually know how to properly use/navigate a website.

Also, I don't like the transparent green when I click on a fancybox photo, I'd prefer if it was just white with, let's say, 80% opacity.

I am not a big fan of the logo, it might be better if you colour in the juice carton...maybe.

On a smaller screen size, the background is off, screen shot here http://cl.ly/3k2X1r3k1Q440C3P0705

1) I actually quite like the splash screen but as Pedro noted it's best to have a "click here to enter" message somewhere.

2) I'm not really keen on the shadow effect for the footer-wrapper, seeing as the footer is so small it seems kinda out of place. Personally I think it would better if it was just a solid strip of green (which isn't a bad colour btw)

3) The logo is pretty yuk but there's not much you can do about that.

4) The shopping cart does seem kinda small

5) I think you should throw in a search bar above the shopping cart to fill in that white space a bit.

Apart from that it's a pretty solid design :) nice work :D

i quite like the concept, and design. few little niggles:
- logo really doesnt work...
- the splash screen is OK, but didnt know where to click to access the site.

on a positive, love the overall colour scheme!

Good job.

Thanks again guys! Agreed with pretty much everything that's been said and working on them now.

@Perdo: Great spotting with the bg! Didn't mean to make it responsive-it just happened lol..

As for the logo & packaging design...I have no say in it-but I know.....I know.... D:|

sorry to bump- but wasn't sure if I should start a new topic for this or not...

Having Flexslider issues! I've used it a couple times before and it's always worked perfectly.

This should be simple (but for the life of me...it's just not working, and I've tried for ages trying to figure out what's wrong-including using the demo, and just can't get it...

I've put alerts, and things are definitely hooked up and loading. Images show when they're not in the .flexslider ...Argh! Even had to copy & paste the entire D:

If anybody's poo is that colour then they are in serious trouble.

Didn't see this in the early stages but looking at it now - Some great work again overall. I think you have a great style.
