I don't know about you guys but it seems like every day somebody comes on here and asks this exact same question.

The frustrating thing is, as soon as their thread is over they bugger off and don't contribute to the forum, and also frustrating is that we always seem to be saying the same things.

I know not all newbs will read a sticky, but it may work well enough to be helpful to those asking the question but without the constant re-posting of the same thread over and over.

I also know not all of us guys on here agree on what's the best route for someone to go down - but we could probably come to some sort of consensus or at least present a balance point of view.

What say you?

I think that's a good idea to have stickies for common questions and topics.

Perhaps we should come up with a list of topics?

I'd love some kind of FAQ too. I feel like I answer the same thing over and over so providing people actually READ whatever we come up with, I think it would have a great positive effect on the quality of post we see.

Nice in theory. Unfortunately, people that want quick answers and bog off are usually the type not to bother reading stickies either..

Great idea, sometimes i look at all the stickies and understand why they get ignored so i'd say it's about time to condense them and amalgamate the most asked questions in to a nice sticky FAQ.

I think we can probably drop the "How to centre a site" sticky now too.
