OK all,

I am now able to start using my new site, be aware its by no means finished but, I'd like some feedback from the pros so that I can improve on what I have started.

Loving the color palette! Definitely feels like a iced cupcake! :)

The 'web developer / designer' below the logo: I feel it could move up a little (so the padding-top and padding-bottom are equal). Also I feel like the SNS icons could also be customized using your colors, just to make it blend it with the rest of your site (you can download pre-made vector icons and alter their colors easily if you don't feel up to tracing with illustrator!).

Else wise it's pretty sweet!

Hello there,

I think the main part needs something in there like a picture, but you said it's not finished. However I do think some typography would suit that part of the website. Scrolling further down the page I can see good stuff.

Overall, get it finished and then let us know because I would like to see this finalized. Well done.

Hi Richard,

Love the colour scheme you have there, and also the fonts in the graphics (what's the font called?)

Would like to see this when it's finished because I imagine it will be great, only improvement I can suggest is to implement a lightbox/shadowbox/alternative when clicking on images.

Good work

Simon

Thanks for the feedback, have taken it all on board.

The font that I have used is from Google Fonts "Playball"

thanks for the suggestions I agree with them.

Hi Richard, I think so far it looks nice and clean. I agree with the others in that I think it will need a big 'hero image' somewhere in the green bar (or a slider showing key pieces from your portfolio).

Once thing I noticed with your logo - you need to adjust the tracking (letter spacing) by making it a bit tighter.
The font you are using has lots of ligatures that aren't lining up. The one between the 'a' and the 'r' in Richard is particularly noticeable.

Using firebug, I set the letter-spacing of your <h1> tag to -3px, for me this joined up those ligatures nicely.

All chosen colors are really great. Great work. You are a real professional.
