Hi All.

I have just joined this forum and posted a bit of an introduction here http://www.webdesign...7355-hello-all/ if anyone cares to read it.

I am looking for opinions on a new site that i nearly have finished.
As my introduction says, this site is intended to be scalable across all platforms (iphone, etc)
There is little to no design on the site as i am only interested in the layout for now (i will have someone better qualified than i to add a better design later)

Anyway, this is the site http://www.my-local-...rts.co.uk/xnew2
(WARNING - this website is intended for them over 18 years old!!!)

I would love to have some opinions on the HTML and CSS, as to have i done things right or in the best way. I am self taught to have no idea if i have used best practice or not, but the site does appear to scale as i intend.

As mentioned in my introduction post i am looking more for bad opinions rather than the good, as i would like to know what i have done wrong, not right, etc.

Anyway, tanks for letting me join and hopefully i can help others too (ill keep an eye out for any post i can help with)
Best Regards
Eddy

In your search on the right try and align all the boxes so they all sit in line on their right hand side. If you know what I mean.

Not sure whether I agree with what the site is about though. But that's just my opinion.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

I am not sure what you mean... do you mean so that the images are top aligned as oppose to middle?

PS i am sorry if the nature of the site offends anyone, it is not my intent & if this is the wrong forum to be asking about it - mods please let me know. (i have long forgotten about the contents all i see is the code....)

Thanks
Eddy

I mean so that all the images are aligned to the right as opposed to them being staggered.

As for offending, that was just my opinion and maybe not the feeling of everyone.

Ok, but oh dear, i think they are meant to be all aligned (are in my browser)
would it be possible for you to screen capture it and mail it / post it here please?

Again thanks for your advice (i have to go shopping now, but will be back later to add any replies)

If you see what I mean, the ones I have marked are 1 or 2 pixels off the ones above.
Sorry about using paint, it's just easier that opening up Photoshop.

I don't like the size of the site and the content placement, work on your UX :)
