This is a site I've wanted to do ever since I started web design a few months ago. I still need to learn a hefty portion of server lingo and working with CMSs to create this.

Please be super critical, the only bad idea is the one you think but don't say!

All ideas welcomed and I +1 everyone who replies.

Cheers,
Dave

Sorry, i don't like everything. It's boring, very simple and has many mistakes

The site is green but logo is black. A footer is empty and has black text on a green color. Even copyright was made wrong

Try again ;)

This...sadly he's right, but not fully, you can fix this!

But just a friendly tip, this is a website about climbing, what some might consider an extreme sport, don't be afraid to design it a bit "whacky" a bit out of the box, make it look cool, this design you just did is faaar to business, it's something I'd expect from a clinic or a bank not from a site dealing with a fun and extreme sport such as climbing.

It's hard to explain what I'm trying to say, if you wish you may add me on skype or any other IM and I'll be happy to send you a few ideas.

This is my first mockup on PS ever so I'm interested in mistakes I made?

The site is blue and the logo is white and black. The footer is bare because I'm not 100% sure what to put there (remember mockup) and its on a blue color.

Also how is the copyright wrong?

I like the minimalist design as this site is meant to be the online equivalent of a rock climbing guidebook (solid copy) which is anything but "whacky". I have added you on skype though as I'd like to hear more ideas.

First - filling, and then paint the design. Otherwise - a waste of time

You're not making much sense.

I think what Pasha4ur means is its best to know what you need on the site before you design it, as a design is just there to support the content so your site will never look its best until you plan it first.

As a layout the design is none offensive, its not terrible and there are some nice parts in it so I think you could do a lot better if you first think of what you need the site to say :)

I think the layout is okay but I agree with some other comments about the colours. Did you mock it up with any alternative colours?

Dont like the logo, I think a nice "grungy" background would be good.
