I have written a website which I am constantly developing. It consists of a mysql database, and numerous php files, including libraries and include files, plus a lot of images too (www.brdatabase.info). I actually wrote what appears to be a basic templating system which creates a uniform appearance throught the website by using a template file which I edit if I ever want to change menus or overall appearance.

I have just recently managed to synchronise the mysql database with that on my PC but I also want to do the same with the php/html/jpg/gif files, which are stored in logical directories and subdirectories. Can anyone recommend a tool to help me with this please? - simple and free is best!

Thanks in advance

I didn't use the term 'auto synchronize'. I want to synchronise [sic] when I want to.

Use a post-commit hook on your source control system?
