I think you may need to clarify this question or expand on it some more... For hosting, we use our own servers :-)
For actual resource usage, other peoples usage figures will mean nothing to you because everybodies website is different.
2 websites using the same amount of monthly traffic and space could have completely different visitor numbers, which in fact, is not that uncommon.
As for 123REG, "try getting any support out of them" is what were hearing a lot of...

123-reg does "look" like a nice site but the customer support is just appalling (at least it was when I was with them). They have this "automatic renewal" system which should be freaking illegal! It basically just remembers your credit card information so that when the renewal date is near it will automatically take payments out to keep them active.
The thing they don't tell you is that there is no way to remove the stored payment details from the control panel the only way to do it is by phoning the support line (which is costly)
I had this whole issue where I spoke to a member of the support team and told them not to renew the hosting package I had, but because I didn't tell them to remove the stored payment data when the date of renewal arrived they did it anyway! Then of course denied all knowledge of the prior conversation (even though I took down the guys name).
I also had issues with certain wordpress plugins that wouldn't function correctly on 123-reg
I moved to supergreenhosting/justhost they might not be a UK company but they are a hell of a lot better imo.

Really? they are American and they charge way more for the domain I want when compared to 123-red, are 123 really that bad? It is quite worrying they kept your payment details i must say!

As for the hosting though, I suggest you do your research before choosing a provider as it's vitally important you choose a company who can suit your needs and provide you with a reliable solution. I always advise people on these forums to steer clear of the 'big daddy hosting companies' and to find a company who can offer you a personal level of support, as it will make a huge difference at the end of the day.
