Horizontal scrolling rarely, if ever, works.
Horizontal WITH Vertical scrolling won't work until we are all on touch screen devices and come around to the idea that a webpage is a single flat page and we are just viewing a 'frame' of it at a time, which we can slide about.
People are used to going top to bottom. Switching it up on them and going left to right requires a lot of things to fall into place or they will run away scared and confused. You need a bit of Javascript to make their mouse wheel scroll the right way, it has to be obvious that the content is in 'slides', each frame has to be about the width of their browser and navigation needs to be very distinct and very constant.
Unfortunately you don't really have any of those. For example if I want to read all information about your products I have to scroll along and then down so not only have to created a giant blank space underneath most slides, you've switched up the status quo on people then switched it back.

To be totally honest I didn't even realise that to scroll left and right. I just clicked on the links in the navigation. That could just be because I am thick. I think you need to work on making the fact that you need to scroll left to right more obvious.
Thanks guys for your opinion.
Glowbridge: I dont understand why you need to scroll down, it should all be on one level. but I take your points on board.
RobbieD9o: Very true.
As I said , its just a concept. I'm trying to find a design that is "outside of the box". At the moment, my site is very traditional, static and if I'm honest with myself, boring and uninspiring. I seem to be stuck in mid 90's "top, left, bottom" layouts, So I'm trying to bring myself up to date. Saying that, I don't want to slavishly follow the current web trends of big sliders etc. Sooo back to the drawing board.
Thanks again
