Okay so last night before I went to bed, everything was running alright, no problems with it whatsoever.

I generally keep my laptop on over the night, so I wake up and find that 'Netbeans' which I had running last night was using a heck load of system resources - more than it usually does.

Then I was using the touchpad and it was moving kinda slowly, I assumed this was normal because my system was being slow with netbeans using that much resource.

Just when I was about to close down NB with task manager my touchpad just went from slow to not moving at all. So I plugged in my mouse and immediately tried to reset the touchpad with the synaptics pointing device menu, reset it (the touchpad light went off & came back on) but the touchpad itself still didn't work.

So I immediately decided to reboot the system, but nothing, touchpad still doesn't work. Nobody's touched my laptop last night, so I have no idea what is going on here..

Can anybody help me here?

Ignore this..

After several heavy tapping sessions, problem has seemed to been solved.
