Hi,

What suggestions do you have for a food delivery website. Is there any extension for Joomla that does the job?

I'm with a project like this, and I'm researching what to do... I wanted a system with options for the client to register and see how his delivery is going, etc.

I don't know if I'll use another CMS or if I can handle it in Joomla or Wordpress.

I'm also not sure if there are non-paid solutions for it.

Thank you.

It's a very hard question to answer without knowing more details.

With fast food delivery it needs to be streamlined to allow fast and easy ordering. Look at a site like dominos.co.uk and see how they have their order process set up.

Our (TCRM) ecommerce system handles food deliveries. We have one in place in a sandwich shop in Cardiff. Users can also build their own sandwiches. It was hard work to write as it just made me hungry all the time.

We run a yogurt website and use Vpasp.
What we like is that you can have it changed to match your needs. It's also user friendly too. On our jigsaw puzzle store it has happily taken over 300 orders a day - about 20k a day in peak times.

Best
Tim

an expert on online restaurant menus and online ordering can help.

I guess now we know it is possible with Joomla (although I would rather go to the takeaway than have to use that checkout system)
