Mobile Redirect I am looking for a reliable script to direct mobile traffic

I'm trying to find a reliable script (can be javascript, php or asp) that will redirect web traffic from my main site to my mobile site. It also needs to realize when a mobile user has selected to view the full site and not redirect them in that instance.

Also I'd love to do this based on screen size instead of device as it will require less maintainence.

Sorry I don't know the code but this is something I'm interested in learning. May I ask, what is the best way to develop a mobile website, HTML?
