After a long while dithering around I have finally decided on a name and a logo for my website.

The name I am going with is: ROBBIE DANTE DEAKIN WEB DESIGN.

I have come up with some logos, they are all essentially the same design with some jiggery pokery. They obviously need some tweeking to make them perfect(alignment etc). I was just after your opinion on which one you think I should make the perfect one.

Logo 1:
Attached File  Logo-Orientation-1.jpg (323.92K)
Number of downloads: 78
Logo 2:
Attached File  Logo-Orientation-2.jpg (331.34K)
Number of downloads: 84
Logo 3:
Attached File  Logo-Orientation-3.jpg (330.7K)
Number of downloads: 53

Thank You

Thanks Simon, I am going to see what the overall consensus is and then work on it and get everything perfect.

To be honest I used Photoshop. I'm still trying to get to grips with illustrator. For now though I have just used PS.
Once I have got everything nailed I will definately be using Illustrator though.

No. 2 for me as well.

1 is a bit too busy and 3 just looks odd.

The first one is cool-
The RDD looks a bit like 'rad' which is a cool twist- was that intentional?.

I'm after some advice myself- I want to create a website- what's the best programme for me to use- should I use dreamweaver- ive experimented with notebook and some html in that but looking for some advice coz I want it to end up looking professional? but I really am Clueless!

I'd try to remove R from the logo. Two ooposite DD have more consistent and finished look, IMHO

Thanks for the replies. I have decide that Logo 1 Logo 2 is the best and I am working on a couple of things and slightly changing it around a bit to try and make it better.

EDIT - I don't have a clue what I am doing.

You do realise it's better to listen to market research rather than ignore it right?!

That idea was a revelation. I new there was something I could do to make it better.

Here we go.

I'd remove by and then swap the lines as is it shown below:
DD

ROBBIE DANTE DEAKIN
WEB DESIGN

- all 3 lines are of the same width, of course.

Errr... I'd just like to point out that "DD" (as in Double D) is a synonym for large breasts. So that my not be the ideal association for your web design business.

That isn't the name though that is just the logo. DD won't actually ever be mentioned anywhere apart from the logo.
The name is ROBBIE DANTE DEAKIN WEB DESIGN.
The domain is going to be RDDWEBDESIGN.COM.

DD does not equate to 'Robbie Dante Deakin' in my mind.

Seems a bit odd.

If you are sure you want to go with the DD than maybe make the name: 'Deakin Designs' or something that ties in better

No worries.
I like the idea of Dante Deakin Designs.

I am so indecisive it gets on my nerves. I have hummed and harred about this name for ages and never once thought of simply dropping my first name.

It can be like that, especially when you are starting out - just pick one you like best and run with it. Everyone here seems to be behind it.

Sometimes it makes it harder when it is for your own site rather than another job - I think we have all been there at some point.

Why not the R in the middle and the D's either side to look like a pair of spectacles; done nicely it will look good, memorable and represent you too.
