Hello, I'm building a site right now and it has some iFrame's within it.
The links within the iFrames follow this rule: http://sub-domain.do.../kids-babies-D4

Firstly, do search engine look for links within iFrames etc?
Secondly, I found out that if I change the link to http://sub-domain.domain-name.co.uk/random-words-D4 but keep the "D4" the same, it still follows to the same site.
Do the words I put before the "D4" actually matter?

Thanks. :)

iFrames are bad full stop really. Moreover if the page that's INSIDE the iFrame is indexed, then visitors can get to that page without even seeing the containing page, which can make you look bad.

If you have a valid internal link in an <A> tag and that loads in the iFrame, then any search engine will jump from that link to the relevant page and then any links thereafter.

And yes, keywords in your URL do make a difference. It's only one factor, but it does affect your rankings.

No iframes and Flash are the things that SEO doesn't mixup up very well with.

Yah, I've known that for a while, it's just there's no way around what I'm trying to do without iFrames. :/ But, luckily we have some amazing search results anyway somehow.
