Hi guys, for a school project I have to develop a portfolio website. This is also my first real design. I'd like to hear your opninons :) . Posted Image
If I get some positive feedback, then I can start converting it to html. Also we have to use html5/css3 and some jquery. Any ideas?

Try to add details to content. Don't use an alignment over width

Really like the graphics. I personally wouldn't even know how to begin on it. It's to the point. Good work. I really like the Social Media Icons breaking in. Nice touch.

Hi, I finished the html part two weeks ago :) Here is the link:

Joeri Claes portfolio

We also had to implement media queries, so be sure to check them out too.

I really like it. :) It looks really professional and well put together.

If I was really going to be picky, I liked the waved line in your original design, but it's been replaced by that cross-hatched texture in your HTML version. I think the waved line looks much better.

The side-bar is almost completely wasted. You have the slider in there, which isn't taking up the full width, and nothing else. As you scroll down the page it's just a big empty space (and not in a good way, in my opinion). The slider just looks lost.

I'm not a fan of the texture on the footer. I love the background images over the 'Contact' section and to a lesser extent the small image in the 'Joeri Claes', but a large proportion of the footer is just that grainy texture and doesn't look as good as it could do. If the whole footer used a similar style of background image I think it would tie it all together nicely.

Hope that doesn't sound too harsh, as I said overall I do like it. I'm just being picky. :p
